10 MARCH 2015:
Regency Security Ltd, a private security company in Braintree, Essex, today announced they have secured their position within the top three per cent of private security suppliers nationwide for quality and professional standards, with a score of 148 in their latest Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) assessment.
The exemplary result demonstrates that the companys operational processes and procedures surpass the industry quality standards required to achieve ACS accreditation across all 89 key performance indicators, as well as their continual commitment to the highest standards of quality and excellence within the Private Security Industry.
The Approved Contractor Scheme is a government backed quality accreditation created by the Security Industry Authority, to improve the quality of service and implement high professional standards within the Security Industry. Private security suppliers that attain ACS accreditation are requiredto undertake a yearly external audit that involves a rigorous assessment of 89 key performance indicators (based upon widely recognisable business improvement models including ISO 9001:2000) across a broad range of operations that include Health & Safety, Insurance and Finance practices.
While ACS accreditation is widely recognised as the kite mark for quality and excellence within the industry, it is the individual score attained which reveals the extent to which a company falls below, conforms to, or surpasses the expected industry standard. Each performance indicator is scored between -2 and +2 depending on how the companys operational processes and procedures measure up.
With scores ranging between zero and 174, a score of zero indicates that a company has met the satisfactory standard to be awarded accreditation, whereas a Gary Powers, Managing Director at Regency Security, said, It is well recognised that security suppliers who adhere to the strict quality standards required by ACS have earned their right to carry its hallmark of excellence, however, this is only half of the story the wide range of scores that permit a supplier to carry ACS accreditation mean it is essential for security buyers to look closely at the actual score attained.
